..........QDIAL..........
Ver. 1.1 - Fixed 286only BUG in 1.0
QDial is a quick little program that lets you dial a phone
number from the command line by your modem, so you won't have to dial it
on your phone. That especially helps if you do not have a touch-tone
phone. I know how slow it is to dial pulse, so here's a relief medicine.
Setting up QDial is really easy. Remember your modem com port?
Just rename the corresponding QDIAL file to QDIAL.EXE.
Example for COM2: REN QDIAL2.EXE QDIAL.EXE.
There you are! Go and dial away with QDIAL. If you have you modem set up
on COM1, just do the same, but only with QDIAL1.EXE. When QDIAL dials
the number, pick up your extension phone, and press any key. That will
disconnect the modem, but you will still be on the line on your
extension phone.
Also, don't forget this little trick: if you want to redial the
number, you could either use F3 if you haven't typed anything else after
you typed QDIAL plus the telephone number, or you could type "QDIAL /".
Your modem remembers the last dialed number, so if you enter a "/", it
will redial that number.
So here you are, with a quick but powerful program. Go to it..
Use it to your good health.
